About Us
We have an ethical approach to deforestation...if we are to profit from the exploitation of natural resources then it is imperative that we can justify that what we do is deemed acceptable, beneficial and appreciated by the Nature of which we are all a part.
Our teakwood products use either farmed trees [with genuine government Certification] or reclaimed wood. The doors, screens and table tops are produced by a small family business, the wood ages and dries naturally over a 12 year period. Only then is it thoughtfully and caringly assembled and subsequently handcarved.
Acacia wood in North West Thailand is an abundant and fast growing tree. As it ages it can develop an individual shaped form. Our range of consoles demonstrates this unique and stunning effect.
The tables and stools we sell, although less easy for the eco-conscience to be clear, contribute significantly to the future well being of the forest. These trees are being cut and sold, that I buy them, and you buy them from me, ensures that a significant reforestation programme is supported. Hopefully other retailers and wholesalers will adopt this policy sooner rather than later.
